The “Longhorn-shaped” employment data

From early 2008 to early 2010 the economy shed 8.7 million  private sector jobs. In the last three and a half years it has only added 7.2 million jobs. It´s really a “Longhorn-shaped” recession! The chart uses the ADP employment data for the private sector. It is pretty similar to the BLS private sector payroll, which we will likely not be hearing from on Friday!
