In version I there was an airport over water in Japan, courtesy of fiscal stimulus.

Fiscal stimulus now has brought you the renovation of a “Bridge to nowhere” in New Hampshire!

There are certainly many more examples of “fiscal stimulus efficiency” out there.

    Marcus, you should do a post correlating the entire history of the US business cycle with NGDP/NGDP expectations. Just sayin’.

    And what, exactly, is your problem with Kansai International airport ?

    The project looks crazy, sure, but real estate near Osaka, and the mess generated by building the comparable Narita airport on land near Tokyo, were even worse.
